Why do some boys who are very bright get bored and playup whereas other children who are just as bright , have same teachers, similar interests, even fairly similar minded parents not play up and seem to thrive?

I think little boys need to be kept busy at school. My DS1 went through a naughty phase when he was in Year 2. He was being very cleverly naughty, and I put it down to being bored.

Now if he is bored, he seems to unpick the stitching on his uniform - grrr! (He's in Year 11 now).
