North Bridge House (London) for child with mild special needs

Hello we have a 4 yr old that we would like to send to Northbridge House next year for reception, but he has mild special needs (speech delay and some kind of communication /social delay) but he's very bright academically and an easy going child. But I wonder if anyone had kids there with mild special needs and are happy with the school?
Many thanks!

Just to say two of my close friends had kids there - but older - secondary school stage.... and absolutely loved the school for being very focussed on each individual as an individual, and bringing out the best in them.

I looked at them for my DC and was very impressed by their approach to mild special needs..... From all I have heard, I wouldn't hesitate ... but perhaps ask to talk to other parents in your position when you meet them? They are very open and would I am sure be happy to put you in touch with some

And they seem pretty unique in North London for taking this approach!

@loveyouradvice thanks ! Yes we have friends there who are happy as well . And as I said my child just has very mild special needs and he’s very advanced for his age academically but he doesn’t talk very well and English is his second language. So we are looking for a private school in north London that has good academic results but not super pushy, or obsessed by 7+ or 11 +, and yet nurturing and inclusive and where he can have some extra help if needed in English etc .

Hi @Hampsteadmum2020

Yes - Northbridge House have lots of children with Special Needs...and even though they say they are selective - from what I hear its more about the ability to pay fees rather than academic.

If you want something a little more academic - Heathside is definitely worth a look - more personalised than NBH and very child centered but with amazing 11+ results. I hear they have a waiting list for next year - but definitely worth exploring.
