Im looking into it for my 6 year old at the moment. They are happy to consider her despite her possible ADD. She would be in a class of only 8. Not sure if thats good or bad. Depends what the boy/girl ratio is.
Does anyone know anything about the school?

Hi, We live in St. Leonards and looked at Charters as well as Battle Abbey and Claremont (couldn't afford Vinehall!)

I personally was not that impressed with the school (this is going back a few years now when they had just re-emerged after Battle Abbey took over the old Charters Ancaster) We chose Claremont in the end and have been very pleased.

As for being in a small class, isnt that what most parents would love for their children? I can only see benefits in having only a few other distractions in the classroom and having better 1:1 time with the teacher. Do you live near Bexhill? What help have they offered for her possible ADD? Is she in state at the moment and has the ADD been diagnosed or is it that she just isnt being stretched in her school at the moment (which often makes them bored and misbehave?)

Hope I was some help

Hi
I went to the original Charters Ancaster and it was a very good school. However when I looked at schools for my daughter I also chose claremont. There were a number of reasons for this- one of these was better facilities at Claremont. Also at the time they were not providing hot meals at lunch time.

I love Claremont too, but its a much bigger school & too far away. Looking into the realities of our daily life I think CA is probably too far away for us too.
CGM, the prob with small class sizes has been severe lack of potential friends to choose from resulting in a very isolated unhappy child
I used to live in West St Leonards before we moved here BTW.
