Dd wants to swap from English Language to politics A level. AQA spec.

Does anyone have a dc in Year 13 doing politics and can say how heavy the workload is?

Dd is doing history too, which is very time consuming, and geography.

What does she want to study at uni and have you given a thought on how the change will impact this? Dropping English Lang is a big decision as keeps doors more open for later than say Politics.

Actually Eng Language doesn’t keep many doors open. Lit does. And Lang/Lit combined. Politics is an essay subject and is perfectly sound.

It depends what the other A levels are too.
