Hi Everyone, I have two girls currently in Northwood college, which is a lovely school. However we are buying a new house in Hemel and therefore considering changing their school for a number of reasons 1: The commute 2: They offer a sibling discount, I have a younger son as well as my two daughters 3: it’s COED so it would be one drop off. I have been to the school when the children were on holidays and it seems nice, my kids loved it. From what I have read from reviews the kids are very happy there. My only concern is my girls would have to leave at 11 and pass their 11+ exam, at the moment they are in Northwood college which goes all the way up until they are 18. I’m struggling to find out the academic standard at Westbrook and as I don’t know anyone that has been to the school I am relying solely on my instincts and what I’m able to read on the internet. Does anyone have any knowledge on Westbrook Hay, their academics, how they do in the 11+ results and generally more information about the school. Do the kids tend to get into good secondary schools from Westbrook Hay? I know that the headmaster is also relatively new. Any information that anyone has that can shed some further light would be much appreciated! Thank you

Hello yes I have viewed Westbrook hay and it seems like a lovely school, very outdoorsy and the children seem lovely, not arrogant like some prep children.

I currently have a child at Edge Grove, I’m having my doubts and am worried already. The viewing went well and the first few weeks were great, since then I’ve started to feel less than thrilled.

DS has just been offered a place at westbrook hay. Although I know the academics at Edge grove are high and children leave with great 11+ results. So I’m worried about taking him out to have the same issues, possibly, elsewhere. If anyone has any info on West brook hay I would love some advice!
Thank you.
