Heath Mount School- Herts

Hi,

Does anyone know what the pick up and drop off situation is like at Heath Mount? Is there sufficient parking? Lots of cars queueing at drop off and pick up? Current school is a nightmare where people have to get to pick up 45 minutes early queuing in order to get into the car park. Meant to be starting Heath Mount next Sept so was interested in knowing what the pick up and drop off was like?

You would probably be best asking closer to the time (maybe May/June) to join the class WhatsApp group and ask this there. Don’t know this school but all school pick ups and drops are so different at the moment that I’m not sure how much asking now will help you.

Do you need to know now for work/nursery arrangements for younger dc?

No, Heath Mount has plenty of parking. It is not like Duncomb :-) However, HM mums like to hang out in the car park at drop of and pick up, so it can be busy, particularly at pick up.

Hi Molemummy. The problem is that the (only) road to the school is being widened due to there being too great a hold up with right turning cars holding up everyone behind them up before they get a chance to turn in. Once the road is widened it'll permit cars to go past and will reserve a middle lane for the queueing HM cars which will be a lot better. It has taken a while admittedly but by Sept 21 you should be fine. Good luck at HM. Good headmaster (a lot of blacked-out Overfinch Range Rovers though...)
