Surrey schools

Hello! We have recently moved to surrey and are looking for a good private prep school that our son can join when he turns 4. We are keen for the school to be academic but also focus on extra curricular activities. Would really appreciate if anyone could help me with a few good school names.

OP, Surrey is has so so many execellent prep schools, you will have so much choice. You need to add where you live and if the entry is for Sept 2021. As there is so much choice parents tend to be quite local to the school esp for Reception when parents are less likely to use a school bus system.

Thanks! We are in Esher and my son is eligible for reception in 2023. So I think we have time still. So far I have heard good about Shrewsbury prep school, Feltonfleet, Danes Hill and Milbourne Lodge.

Yes they are all good and you have got lots of time to visit in the future too. Feltonfleet is very popular due to its location, if you look at the bus routes you will see children come from all over SW London. Shrewsbury House has it's pre-prep at a separate location to Prep.
It's probably worth speaking to the registrars and seeing when they advise you register.

My partners daughter went to Danes Hill. It is fantastic.

Our son went to Shrewsbury House Pre Prep and we loved it. A very warm and welcoming school, great communication (which is more than I can say about his new school ) and feeds into the Prep in Surbiton. We were very sad to leave.

I’m probably quite late to the party but another big thumbs up for Shrewsbury. My son joined after lock down in nursery last year and is now in reception. There is nothing I can fault about the school. Happy you private message me.
