DD is not happy about school

My DD started reception this year and she was very happy to go to school in the morning and when she comes back she cries and telling
us she does not want to go to school and she never told me before like this when she went to nursery.

First day she cried and told me that she was not given a chance to open the 'all about me bag' but others. I checked with Teacher next day and Teacher said they will get priority so the next day she had been given chance.

Second day when I went to pick up she cried and TA said she shouted at teacher and she was told off. This is really bothered me as she is very kind to anyone and never had anything like the nursery and she is always one of the happy girl and kind girl.

I am really not sure what's the best way to handle this situation, please help me my DD to settle and make her school journey enjoyable.

Many Thanks

It's not at all unusual for them to struggle at first. Keep communicating with the teacher...if you can, book a meeting with the teacher to discuss DD's happiness and ask how she's managing and what problems are emerging if any.

Poor thing. I hope she settles soon. Let the teacher know she's unhappy

You just need to talk to the teacher again. The first weeks can be difficult. Give it some time.

My DS is struggling this term. He went back before summer and seemed to enjoy it but since going back after the hols he tells me he doesn't want to go any more. I think it's because its all work and little play and all the building blocks have been put away. I know how you feel though as it's heartbreaking. I wish I could home school sometimes.
Hope things get better for your DD.
