Can a HLTA legally teach a class of 6 year olds 3 afternoons a week all year.
Just seems excessive to me and I worry my child is only having his teacher one full day a week as he has a different teacher cover another afternoon per week for ppa 🤔

If it's an academy I think yes. HLTAs are often v good though.

Just to add most schools do practical subjects in the afternoons too, so it's unlikely they're teaching them core subjects like numeracy or literacy.
