Belleville School - any recent feedback please?

We have the chance of a place at Belleville and need to make a quick decision. Does anyone have any recent feedback on the school please? Especially in the lower years? How is the teaching, do you get regular feedback from teachers, is there differentiation in the teaching for different abilities in the lower years? How happy is the environment and does it suit all types of child? Is it a tough environment for a new child to break into when friendship groups are established?

Generally it is very highly regarded. Heard some grumbles but more from parents who could afford private so are comparing to that standard. I think for a state primary it seems excellent. Very narrow catchment but not necessarily an issue. (No personal experience, just hearsay)

Thanks Hyperhippo, Nappyvalleynet very quiet at the moment on schools responses so was hoping it would be more active here as there have been lots of postings on Belleville in the past. Yep, highly regarded I know. Just trying to work out if that is the recent sentiment as the previous head is now head of a group of schools and things 'on the ground' might have changed. Lots of older postings here on Belleville, hoping for something more recent. I know there were some grumblings during 'lockdown' but not sure how reasonable that was given that all schools struggled at that time.

Have you looked at some stats? Looks like high ability bilingual children do v well there. More average English children stay in line with the national average.

No personal experience of the school but stats are useful too.
