Scared of covid?

slipperywhensparticus · 11/09/2020 14:12

why scared?
How old?
What are the reasons for non compliance with homework?

What have you tried?

Oh sorry, not thinking straight.

Year 11. School attendance never been a problem prior to covid. Would do work at home with encouragement.

Anxiety.

We are working with school to get in, but it's all too much.

Now out of habit of schoolwork as anxiety was so high she couldn't access it. Can't/won't restart. Not sure which, wherein lies the problem.

I'm broken which means no energy to really push things.

Other times I'd be looking at tutors to come to the house, but now...

Online tutoring?

How are the school helping?

Any obvious cause of the anxiety or is it Corona related? Any other health issues however unrelated they may appear? Unpicking the anxiety will be a start to breaking the current downward cycle - it's a vicious circle unfortunately.

Approach tutors anyway and ask them whether they'd do online lessons. I've been teaching that way since April. It's still one to one teaching and I'm covering the subject, I'm just not doing it in a physical setting. Lots of tutors in my area are doing this.
