The children in question are 5, 7 and 10.

I'm not so sure that worksheets are the best way to learn, especially for the younger two.

Of course sharing books, showing a great interest in books and all kinds of reading material. Involving them in cooking, making cakes and talking about the procedures and what is happening eg beating the butter, sugar to get air into mixture, beating the eggs to see the air bubbles, then the careful folding in of air so that the air isn’t knocked out etc etc counting things, using maths in real situations, sharing, measuring and comparing.really looking at things and thinking about them. Taking them out and discussing things you see. Investigating things that interest them by looking things up from written sources. Promoting the idea that there is always a way to “find out”. Playing games of all sorts. Chatting together at meal times etc etc.
