My son has been sent this from college. He has now left the college. He and I don't really understand what this means. The college is understandably overwhelmed with students and queries at the moment, so I wondered if someone in here could interpret this.

The letter that came with it was just about covid and appealing etc.

Thanks so much for any help!

Cant see the letter. But... BTECs are being look at again to bring them in line with other qualifications which now are awarded the highest of the CAG or calculated grade. BTECs did not have a CAG for the examined component, only a ranking, so the U turn is more tricky for them. They are being reviewed now, and final results will be issued at some point next week I think.

Ah maybe it's the letter they send half way through a 2 year course. DS was doing a two year course, he's completed the first year but dropped out in lock down, he wasn't able to home study at all.

They've advised he'll get a qualification for the year that he did as he was doing well and would have carried on if it hadn't been for lock down.

We thought this letter was advising his grade /level for that year.
