Just trying to calm down after listening to Nick Gibb on Radio 4 stumble through what he obviously thought was an adequate explanation and apology for the education devastation this summer. It didn’t come close in my opinion... It’s heartbreaking for all our kids (and they are still kids; starring off on their path to the future and seeing their dreams shattered.) So much more could have been done to make this better. I’m so disgusted at everyone involved in this whole algorithm/results fiasco. What do you think??

I think its criminal. They knew that the model or the algorithm or whatever you want to call it was inadequate and that 20% of the grades would be wrong and they chose to do nothing. Now the universities will bear the brunt of this mistake, as will our children for years to come, as it will have a knock-on effect for quite a while.

Yes! And a generation of disillusioned young people with absolutely no faith or trust in our ‘government’...
