Pretests and coronavirus

How do you think the pandemic is going to impact the pretests taking place in January? I can’t imagine how schools are going to deal with all the children or what will be done if DCs are unlucky enough to be sick or in quarantine over the pretest period?

I’ve heard that some of the surrounding prep schools will act as satellite stations so children in the area will set the test there in smaller groups. Sitting the test afterwards due to sickness will be determined by a doctors certificate and Covid testing results will be quick anyway to confirm.

We’ve just heard that some schools are changing their exams to CAT style tests so that children aren’t penalised if their schools were not able to cover the curriculum fully in lockdown. Will be interesting to see if there are any format changes or if more schools start to use the ISEB that can be administered once at your own prep school?
