Gresham's School

Hi everyone!

Need some insight regarding Gresham's school in Holt, as am considering it for my son.

Seems super but worry it's not very academic.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

We looked it a few years ago as we live fairly near but didn’t like it
BUT
since then there’s been a new head and apparently he’s made all the difference. I know loads of people who go there and they’re all very happy with it.
Hope someone can help you properly.

Thanks for the message. Yes we were taken by the new head. Are the children you know that go there 'academic'?

Both my daughters went to Gresham's and had a very happy time there. My second daughter ended up at Durham, after secured A*, A, A for her A levels and she was not all that academic. I thoroughly recommend it, if you are still looking.

Great, happy school. Not considered hugely academic (an all round school really) but academic children do well there just as sporty or drama enthusiasts. They have a broad intake so it won’t ever feature at the top of the league table because of that but that doesn’t mean those capable of the best grades aren’t getting them. Definitely go and look.
