Ideas for year 6 last week

Are any of your schools planning anything special for the year 6 students before the end of term.

Our year 6 teacher hasn't planned anything but has asked us parents if we have any ideas.

They've missed so much - the residential, show - they only do both of these in year 6 here. Leavers' assembly ...

It would be good to have some safe socially distanced ideas to give to the school.

I had thought of producing a video - maybe each student performing or one of those when they pass a ball in and out of the picture or even do a dance ... also possible. SD picnic with families,

If you have any ideas of if your school is doing something please could you share them.

Thanks

At DS school each class has had a picnic on the playing field.

Our school have arranged class videos, there is a whole year assembly online next week, the last morning in school will be fun activities and there is something being planned by the PTA in the playground on the last day - think it is a bit of a party.

However, any year 6 not in school already either as year 6 or as a key worker child is excluded from taking part in any of the last day fun and won't have a chance to say goodbye to any school friends or teachers.

Thanks - all the other local schools seem to be planning things apart from outs so it's really useful to know what's happening

They’re signing shirts in school next week and will be having a special brunch in the hall, both bubbles together but on opposite sides, and watching a video they’ve made recreating some of their favourite memories of primary, along with photos parents have sent in, and singing a song together. After they finish we are all having a socially distanced picnic party on the beach. The head has also promised a proper party for them and sleepover in school once it’s safe, she’s hoping for October but if needs be early next year. Not what we hoped for but I think the school have done their absolute best
