Alternative schools up to 18?

Does anyone have any recommendations for alternative independent schools in the south of England that go up to the age of 18? They all seem to stop aged 16yrs which is such a shame?

Bedales - all the way to 18 and the original alternative in the South East.
Beyond that what kind of alternative are you looking for there are loads of small independent specialists in niche areas for 16-18 years.

Do you mean alternative provision? I'm not sure that's what Bedales is!

What are the specific needs? I work in an AP school, all the provision I'm aware of stops at 16yo, we usually help the students find a college place or apprenticeship. No one ever leaves with nothing, they don't always succeed in their placement Sad

Summerhill, if Suffolk is not too far.

King Alfred’s in Golders Green was always consider alternative and somewhat radical when I was growing up in London (80s). I don’t know if it still is.
