My DD is doing some research for school. Would you be able to answer this questionnaire?

Hi, don't know if I'm too late for this?

I have one pet, a large dog. I am currently working from home and shielding so I am spending all day with her! I love spending time with her.
As far as activities, there is feeding, walking (multiple times a day) grooming, cuddles, playing with toys, picking up poop from the garden, talking to her (yes I know this sounds odd).

I'd rate my own stress levels as a 4 (very uncertain times and I struggle with anxiety). I've had her for six years and was much younger before she came along so stress as a 3?

Owning a pet hasn't affected my stress levels. In fact I think she has helped me a lot. I've naturally become more stressed as I've got older. Much more on my plate but she gives me a reason to get outside and get in the fresh air a few times a day. She is great company and so affectionate.

Other factors that affect my stress? Too many to name! Workload, (I'm a school teacher), health, we are currently trying to sell the house, the pandemic, not getting enough sleep!

Hope that's of some help Smile

There are some really good quality peer reviewed papers on this area if she is interested This from the American Heart association and this reviewing all the current evidence in the BMJ.
