I’ve often thought about retraining to become a teacher and I was wondering if anyone on here had done this? I have about a million questions so would appreciate any advice!
- I have an MA degree in English but believe I will need to do a year of a specific teaching qualification and then a year of placement teaching. Are you then only qualified to teach the subject your degree is related to?
- I’m based in Scotland but if I train here and then move to England are the qualifications transferable?
- What kind of salary do new teachers earn? And do you earn anything while you train?
