No I only put down two, because there are only two schools I would want DD to go to!

You MUST put down 3 options. My friend just put one down last year, didn't get it and instead was offered a school miles away that she hadn't heard of. Under equal preference system, you get your nearest school unless there are vacancies at others which you prefer and you live closer than other people who also want to go there but for whom it isn't the closest school and who have put it on their list. Use all your life lines!

We can apply after 28th September online.. We have two schools within walking distance, the closer one is usually oversubscribed, the other one is awful. I will be putting the closer school as first choice and two schools further away as second and third. I really don't want to run the risk of dd ending up at the other local school, it really is bad.

Does anybody else get 6 preferences? I do but it sounds a bit much!
