Independent prep schools - which years are going back?

Just wondering what years have been prioritised in the independent sector? With most boarding preps going up to Year 8, that being their main transition point, have any said that Year 8's will go back instead of Year 6's?

The answer is no at the moment Sad No deviation from N, R, Y1 and Y6 allowed by ISI/IAPS or major insurance companies.

Our head has said that they have no discretion and that they have to follow the government edict. He indicated that IAPS is in contact with government - our head would prefer to be given the ability to choose who this would benefit the most.

Our Year 8s not allowed to return and government advice to bring back Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 is being followed. Online learning to continue for all not in the school - going to be a VERY intense 5 weeks until the end of term, not to mention the preparation of summer learning resources for Y5 and Y7 who have exams coming up in the coming terms.
