Independent Ed Psych

Well, we've recently (finally) arranged to see an Independent Ed Psych with ds1. The appointment is not until December, but we've been filling in referral forms, which I've found to be an exhausting emotional experience.

I'd be interested to hear experiences from anyone who has been through this, and can give any guidance as to what to expect.

Ds1 will be 7.5, and atm I have no idea how we are going to explain the appointment to him, without causing him to fret. (He is a worrier.) Any ideas?

Btw I am a regular on here, and most of you who might read a thread with this title will know who I am! but for various reasons didn't want my 'name' on here iyswim.

I've done this recently with dd1.

If you're who I think you are, you have my email address, so drop me a line if you want more info.

If you're not who I think you are, you're welcome to CAT me.

Ha! Before reading this, I just had an email from Binkie encouraging me to contact you, which arrived seconds after I had already emailed you

And I am really struggling with this split-personality business
