Becoming a TA

I currently work as a MSA. If I were to pursue a career as a TA the thing that concerns me the most is Maths (I'm not very good at it).
I would prefer to work the younger children but as I work in the same school as my younger dc I can't currently volunteer with the younger children because of this therefore it would have to be year 3 upwards. Do I need to brush up on my maths skills?

You would need to be able to understand and explain anything on the Maths curriculum up to year 6. You would probably be asked to take a maths test (usually a Year 6 Maths SAT paper) at your interview.

Ah ok thank you. Guess I better brush up on my maths skills big time then.
