Ds has to underline them in his homework. Is it words like until?

Think so , words like while, when , then ie which link 2 clauses. They went into school when the bell rang.

linking words related to time e.g. then, next,

I've never heard of a temporal connective. Connective, yes, like 'and', 'or' 'so', 'meanwhile' etc. What year are we talking?

christywhisty · 16/09/2007 13:01

It's only year 7!
Thank you all

Oh god, year 7? Thats dd's year! So, was I right, I'll need to know!

They do them in Year 1.

I saw "Well done, [DS3's name], you have learnt how to use a temporal connective" written in one of DS3's Year 1 exercise books, anyway.

And, yes, I did think it was pretty ridiculous at the time.
