I am a bit concerned, apparently he had them out at lunch time and dinner time supervisors just put them in the bin. I dont think they told the head. On speaking to other mothers living locally he has also been setting fires in the fields round here and calling the fire brigade out.
I am going in on Monday to speak to teacher as they probably don't know about fires, but wonder if I should call the community police too.
Any comments appreciated.

We had this at ds2's school - the child was about 8. He set toilet roll on fire in the toilets. The head took it very seriously and invited the firemen in to talk about the dangers of fire. I would defnitely mention it to the head.

Do mention it, what if he were killed or injured in one of these fires?

His Mum may not know he has the matches- DS1 once set a fire with amtches he had stolen.
