Hi Guys

My son is coming up to 3 and primary school applications beckon. I wish to apply to the local private schools Newcastle school for boys, NPS & Dame Allan’s.
Does anyone have any kids at these schools? It would be interesting to hear your experiences.

Hi Toon dad,

Mowden Hall near Stocksfield off A69?
Otherwise the ones you listed are also as good. RGS but from 7yrs old.

It might help if you consider your hopes for DS to (for example) stay in day school in Newcastle or perhaps consider a boarding option.

Some argue it might be too early for this as who knows where your life will take you but there's value in having an understanding of general trajectory of aspirational hopes/life objectives and narrow down from there.
Perhaps consider to plan backwards from University and then work back to 3years old?
Again, some might argue it's way too early for this however, the purpose is not to fix down a plan but to help crystallise thinking which could be tweaked over time.
It might also help you review your life objectives.

I was in your position and region once and ended up with my DS at Eton however, if I had decided early on to be rooted to my area then DS would have ended up happily in another school.

I sent you a PM on this
Hope it helps
