Design apps for Design and Technology GCSE

My son's D&T teacher has suggested apps like Shapr3D for a design project but all her suggestions are for ipad apps. My son has a Microsoft Surface Pro. Can anyone recommend a similar app that will run on his Pro?

I'm googling it but its not something I know about. Any help gratefully received! Thanks,

He could try tinker cad
Sketch up should work as its an online design system. (sign up is free)
I think that it will also run fusion 360.
