loose plastic book covers? Ds has just told me he needs these for all his textbooks - by tomorrow - apparently he was told last week but just "forgot" to mention it to me

anyway, I've traipsed round all the local stationery shops, Smiths, Woolies etc and drawn a blank - I've also googled with no joy

I know the bl**dy things exist as I've seen them before but where are they????

any sightings gratefully received

that's hard! suppose you could try ringing your local library to see where they get theirs or ring borders. no luck googling (unless you're in the usa!) sorry

This won't help with tomorrow, but is this the sort of thing you want - book protectors

have you tried Ebay?

Another thought - does your library have any book sale on at the moment. Ours often gets rid of old books for 10-20p, and some still have the plastic covers on...

here but online

panic over - I rang the school to double check and they said he needed sticky backed plastic - available from our local post office hurrah

with ds, cos I specifically asked him if he meant sticky backed plastic and he strenuously denied it

but thanks for the pointers - I may well need them another time

Perhaps your son has had an experience with sticky back plastic he'd prefer not to repeat? Seriously, I think your troubles have only just begun. Sorry.

having just struggled with his geography text book, frankly I've had an experience with sticky plastic I'd rather forget

and hallgerda - what do you mean my troubles have only just begun - he's only 10 is it going to get worse????

I was only referring to the difficulties of getting sticky back plastic on the book - don't worry!
