My son has been set work for Easter revision totalling 60 hours.
We've just had a flaming row as I asked him when he was doing it..making a start. Just give me a time of when and I'll ask no more type thing. Said I'd sit down and go through it with him - I'm a qualified teacher in one of his A Level subjects and so know I could really help.
I may have said he's wasting our money (private school) so he has cried, said I make him feel like shit, am a horrible person, told me to fuck off etc.
He usually boards so this is hard for both of us - I'm not usually having to police his work. It just stresses me out knowing he's got work to do but I can't see him doing it. He's not a high flying student. GCSE's were average. He's dyslexic and has to work hard. I want to help but apparently that's just me on his back
