My DD is 18 and decided not to go to University this September.
She can't decide whether to take a gap year or do an apprecticeship - this would be in Nursing.
If she were to take a gap year she would work on Saturdays and during half-terms and holidays and do Camp America in May 2021 - she hasn't got anything she plans or wants to do during the working week - she would be bored stiff doing nothing all week.
After the gap year, she would go to Uni to then do a degree in nursing.
The things putting her off the apprecticeship are things to be expected e.g. - low wage, long hours, complete work alongside working. Anyone else's DC done an appreticeship and how did they find it?
Just looking for a bit of help as my DS was firmly set on going to Uni straight after college!
