Morrisons Academy or Dollar Academy

I've recently moved to the Perth area and I am looking for feedback on Morrisons and Dollar Academy. We are considering putting our child into one of these schools in to Primary 6 and we are about the same distance away from each school. We are due to visit both these schools soon but it would be great to hear some first hand experience of these schools as well. We are interested in good extracurriculars being available as well as education.

Rose you may want to try posting on the Scotnet board just for traffic. Sorry, no experience of either school other than my DD playing against Dollar at hockey etc. My observation is that Dollar gets included in many of the boarding school sports fixtures, debating etc whilst Morrison’s doesn’t. Quite a few of my DDs school friends left Morrison’s for her boarding school once passed primary age. Never discussed their reasons for it though!

I have two DS at Dollar. Oldest moved there from state at P7, youngest has been there since P5 (now P7).

We have had a really excellent experience, both classroom and extra curricular. One DS is sporty, competitive, strong academically. Other DS is outdoorsy, shy, v good academically and also mildly dyslexic. Has suited both of them very well. (I wish they would show some interest in music, as that looks really good but alas its not their thing.)

I can't really comment on comparison as I know v little about Morrisons - I do hear good things, but we didn't look in to it.

Hello, late to this thread and wondering what school the OP chose in the end? We are in the same situation and wondering which school to go for. Any info would be appreciated
