Sadly this site is not what I was expecting - in my 2 days here I have had sarcastic/rude comments and been told that the mums on here want to stay low so should move my request re homeschooling groups . Might be time to incorporate something other than general chit chat and help kids realise that social interaction is important as well .

Sorry, are you homeschooling? Your post makes no sense to me at all.

Nobody is forcing you to use Mumsnet so if you don't like it that's ok.

"mums on here want to stay low"
What do you mean by stay low?

elQuintoConyo · 03/02/2020 08:24

Stay low? Like a limbo party? Yeah, I'd be up for that Grin

I just looked up your post, and you were told that HE families in general tend to be low key and don't tend to post lots of activities on local FB pages etc., not particularly on MN.

the Home Ed board is here btw

Maybe you were advised to move your thread to a more relevant topic?

1099 · 04/02/2020 12:28

Actually my suggestions were neither rude or sarcastic, you asked a very specific question regards HE to which you have 0 replies apart from my suggestion that you have it moved to the HE board where you would get some feedback, also most geographic areas have HE FB groups so if you did a bit of research you'd find them.

If you post on the specific board, you may get better advice and responce. So, if you want general advice on primary aged child, you should post on primary, and if you want advice on SEN, you should post on SEN board. Especially, if you want advice on something like G&T, you should post on G&T board, there are people who have similar experience. But there are always people who are not nice, fate of the anonymous forum. But there are many helpful people here, so please don't give up just yet.
