Imposter syndrome - new job

I've been lucky enough to have bagged a new job which starts after half term. I'm overqualified for it (it's a HLTA job and I have QTS). I'm delighted as I love the school, my DCs go there so it should be easier than having a childminder and I'm looking forward to the work life balance. I'll be covering classes in primary.

I always get imposter syndrome in a new job. Not so much in the classroom as I slip into my teacher persona easily and have presence and confidence, but with colleagues. I can't shake off the feeling that they are better than me and I don't deserve to be there. Someone will find out I'm not up to the job and call me out on it.

Any tips? Everyone seems very friendly and I have no reason to be anxious really.

I’ve had this feeling every time I’ve had a promotion or started a new role, it’s awful isn’t it!! There’s not much I can say to make you feel better other than to reassure you that you have the skills and can do this x

Thank you. It's odd that I'm more confident actually teaching than when having conversations with other staff. I'm there as a volunteer at the moment. Hoping it eases with time.
