I would like to watch this documentary. I appreciate it’s a few years old, but I’m still keen to view it as we’re currently looking at Gordonstoun as a potential school for my dd. But, I can’t find it anywhere to buy or stream. Can anyone help? It would also be lovely to make contact with any current parents. Do Message me!

Hello.
I am sure that if you contact the admissions department at Gordonstoun they would be able to direct you as to where to view the documentary. We still have it recorded on our Sky box, as it was filmed during the year that our DD joined the Junior School. The documentary does show a true representation of school life at Gordonstoun.

Both of our children attend the school now and they are very happy, as are we.

Please do message me if you any questions about the school that you’d like a parents’s view. I’d be happy to help.

Is it on you tube?

TheLovelyWoo · 10/11/2019 12:51

Watching here, as I’ve also searched for this but been unable to find it. Not sure why.

Sixp · 10/11/2019 13:51

It doesn’t appear to be onYoutube. It seems very odd that it’s not available anywhere, even to buy!

Hi there my DD currently attends Gordonstoun Junior School where she has been for the past 5 years. She will soon begin the transition to senior school. Please do message me any time and I’ll happily chat about any aspect of school life.

We could not be happier with the opportunities she has on a daily basis, in terms of learning, sport and music. She has a lovely friend group made up of boys and girls and is blossoming and gaining in confidence year on year, having been extremely reserved in the past.

Most importantly for us we have a happy child who loves school, as a result she is motivated to learn and not afraid to make the most of the varied school programme including expeditions which take her out of her comfort zone.

Please message any time - happy to chat.

Sorry, I don't know how to post a link, but on Google it comes up if I simply type in 'a different class's and scroll down. A video from a 2015 Sky production - at least the trailer, only short, but you then get links for further footage once you start watching the video under 'watch next'. Anyway, my personal experience of Gordenstoun is very positive. Friends of mine, all 3 siblings, were blissfully happy there. School was chosen by their dd who had been kicked out of Eton (while David Cameron of all people was allowed to stay on for same incident). Akso the German sister schools are brilliant, but you really must have a thing girls the outdoors and for sailing.

It’s lovely to hear positive comments from parents and friends of parents. YouTube does have the taster and some samples, but not the full series. Thanks for trying though!

Hi all,

I know this thread is a bit old, but I'm still hoping that at some point I'll be able to see this. I missed the alert for Sky Documentaries, unfortunately.

Does anybody know where I might find it, or have a link?

Fingers crossed!

peoniesarejustperfect · 22/11/2020 19:04
