Year 3 writing

DS in year 3 has struggled with creative writing a lot it’s been picked up by all his previous teachers, in this half term he wrote this story.

Parents evening is coming up shortly, would you say this is roughly on track for year 3. I know it’s completely different for them writing at home to writing at school with distractions.

Paragraphs, good punctuation, spelling seems pretty accurate, neat joined up writing, grammatically correct. Some nice little phrases and good use of adjectives.

If he has done this independently I think this is a pretty good piece of work for a 7/8 year old child one half term into year 3!
