11+ scholarship experience?

DD is year 5 at the local inde and we plan for her to progress to the senior school. She is in the top sets in her prep and in all the sports teams.
What preparation should we do to try for an academic and / sports scholarship? We live in a large county with low population so the school is not particularly selective. She currently plays all sports and swims to OK level but does not specialise in anything. How 'good' would she need to be to get a sports scholarship? County standard in a single sport?
Does anyone have any experience of getting a sports scholarship at 11?

Ds did 13+ so slightly different. He applied for 2 schools. Each had very different criteria. One school was only interested in ‘his’ sport and general fitness / coachability. The other expected him to trial in all their major sports. Neither school was hugely selective but competition for scholarships was high.

Fitness and attitude was really important to every school we looked at but you’ll need to see what individual schools are looking for. I don’t know how many sports have county selection in time for 11+ (plus ime it’s not a reliable predictor of future potential at that age) so I imagine there maybe be other criteria.

My DS did 11+ and got an all-round (academic/music and sport). Was in top 5% in academic exam, county level (was at this level at 9) in one sport and three instruments (grade 7 for one instrument).

It is at a very selective school. If you say the school you are aiming for isn't that selective you may be ok.
