Totally confused about which school

I am looking for some advice for my boys who are 6 and 4.5 We are in New Malden but do not really care for the Junior or High schools locally so are trying to relocate (not too far as family are local). We cannot comfortably afford Private for both for next 4 years but could at a stretch. I am trying to find a good Junior state with a good Secondary school to follow so we know where to buy a home but cannot seem to find a solution. I don't really want to go down Grammar route either but like everyone want a good education for the boys. I am a Teacher myself so thought about finding jobs in schools where we could get a slight discount though these are not pre-advertised and also this would be when they are 11. Any good suggestions for Juniors and the secondaries they would feed in to in or around Raynes Park, Wimb, Esher, Kingston etc? Many thanks!

I'd suggest asking the mods to change your title so the places you mention are in the title. You'll have a better chance of useful responses.

Thames Ditton Juniors and Hinchley Wood Secondary in Hinchley Wood or Orleans Primary / Orleans Park Secondary in St Margaret's.

Also Turing House in Teddington - free school with new site promised.

But the schools in New Malden are good too.

You’ve got some very good primaries and Coombe Boys in New Malden. I’d say you’re very well placed for schools. What is it that you’re after and what bothers you about the local options?

Do you mean that you want a state primary followed by an independent senior school? Or a comp?

Rutlish has an increasingly good reputation, with a shrinking catchment area.
