Hello,
My son is a day boy at a good public school, he needs to get 5 Bs in his GCSEs which maybe tight! Can anyone recommend a boarding 6th form, that is less strict on GCSE results, football is strong, and fees are around 25k for boarding ( is this even possible!) we have looked at Ellesmere College in Shropshire, which does look good... any feedback on this or other recommendations would be gratefully received thank you

Denstone College near Uttoxeter. Lots of sport although rugby stronger than football

Apart from state boarding, West Buckland School in North Devon? Weekly boarding is very competitively priced if you are close enough for a Friday night pick up.

My friends boys are at Ellesmere (aged 14 and 12) and both absolutely thriving. They actually moved from Surrey to be near the school as their boys didn’t want to board (2 years ago). Oldest is thinking about boarding now though
