11+ prep books - recommendations please

DD is going into Year 5 in September and I'm looking at getting some 11+ prep books. She'll be sitting for Epsom, Wellington College and St George's (Weybridge). I've seen the Bond prep books advertised a lot but I don't know how they compare to others. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Also is it worth starting with the prep books aimed at age 9-10 (I assume they're aimed at Year 5), or should I just go straight for the 10-11 years books? DD is bright and at a prep school already so I'm wondering if we can skip straight to 10-11 years?

Any advice would be welcome.

We use bond. Typically 1 year older for maths and the right age for english. I would buy the right age and you will soon see if they are too easy.

Galore Park were what I used for DD. They are excellent, for VR and non VR they do revision books which break the questions down into the key skills. Good sets of practice tests graduated in terms of difficulty.

The First Past the Post series from the Elevenplusexams website.

Def find out exactly what is tested by each school - ie all don't do both VR and NVR. Check if it's computer based or on paper. Also see if you can find out if they use a CEM or GL format - most independent schools are using one of those for reasoning but set their own maths and 3nglish papers. Knowing this stuff can guide you towards the most appropriate materials.

Are you in a Prep school? They should offer some prep and advice about materials.
