New forest move

Hi we are planning to move to the New Forest area next year. Our kids are age 7 and 8. What are anyone’s thoughts on best friendly villages to live? We are looking at the edge of the new forest - Bashley, Tiptoe, Hordle, Everton, Highcliffe and Barton on sea. Preference is somewhere fairly rural and village rather than town. Kids are going to private school so school waiting lists are not an issue. Any advice appreciated. We are relocating from overseas (originally from the UK). Thank you.

If schools are not the issue, you might be better off posing in Mumsnet Local for the area than here. The New Forest is lovely, I have friends in Lymington and family near Boldre, it's a great area. Good luck with your move.
