Primary Schools In Swanwick / Alfreton

Does anyone know anything about the schools in Swanwick and Alfreton. Croft in Alfreton was given a rating of outstanding in 2007 but hasn't been inspected since, Copthorn was inspected a few years ago and was given a rating of good, however we have been told to avoid all schools in Alfreton. We live in London and we are moving up in a few weeks so know nothing about the schools in the area. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m only replying as no one else has yet, I grew up in that area but moved away a long time ago, so my knowledge of those schools is quite out of date.
However of friends who have remained in the area, most don’t live where you mentioned but in about a 10 mile radius. Villages over towards Crich, Chesterfield and Derby are much more popular with them and they are happy with those schools.
Good luck with the move and hope you settle in well. The countryside around there is stunning and I miss that most of all.
