Academic IELTS

Has anyone here taken IELTS? I took it for the first time last week and I am so disappointed with my performance. No grades as yet, but I know have done absolutely terribly.

Any tips from anyone who has taken it?

I've taken it. Is you first language English?
I found it fairly straightforward (had done no education in English, but mother tongue English).
Courses to help with various parts of it often pop up on www.futurelearn.com or www.coursera.com or as part of the open courses on the open university website.

You won't know how you did until you get your marks. Just remember that the questions in the exam have to cover the entire range of levels, so you could still score quite well even if you found some of it hard.
