Somerhill school in Tonbridge

I am new to mumsnet so I am sorry if not the right group

Does anyone have any experience of the somerhill schools in Tonbridge? We are moving to the area and it seems to have the most wonderful facilities but we are more interested in the pastoral care, teaching etc

Hi, my children (a girl and a boy) went to Somerhill Pre-Prep and up through Derwent Lodge and Yardley Court. The teachers are amazing. Really caring and always happy to talk things through and offer advice and support. Both children passed the Kent Test and gained places at both selective independents and superselective grammars, so can’t fault the quality/breadth of teaching! They had a few friendship bumps in the road along the way, as all kids do, but I always felt that I had a good response from class teachers and TAs when I needed it. A very happy start to their schooling. Eldest is now doing her GCSEs.
