EASTER break 2008 - what are your school holiday dates?

Easter is in March next year so we have from
they go back after half term on the 18 Feb
are only there 4 weeks and then off
14 March - 31 March

Spring Term

7th jan-7th feb
18th feb-20th Mar

summer term starts 7th April

We are the same as SueW - just have a long weekend for Easter, back to school, then we break up on 4th April and go back for the summer term on 21st April.

Thanks, that what I had heard that some were taking long breaks over easter and then the usual 2 weeks off in April.

Im trying to find out when the flights are cheap in April and it wasn't making any sense. So now I know why the airlines are keeping the prices high throughout that whole April period.

I know , it sucks, they are going to be raking it in.

Our schools dates are

7th Jan - School Opens
14th Feb - school closes (training day on the 15th)
25th Feb School opens

21&24th march (Good Friday and Easter Monday I think)- school closed

25th School opens again

4th April School Closes

21st April School Opens

So SueW - ours sounds similar to yours.

Our 'Easter Break' is a long weekend, with the 'Spring Break' a few weeks later to make the terms more equal. That is Somerset, and while odd to not have 2 weeks at Easter, seems to make the most sense.

So Easter break next year is anytime from
Last day 14 Feb - First day back Mon 21 April
and covers 5 week period.

Yep Sue airline prices high for 5 weeks.
If you are planning to get away, book earlier rather than later if you see a good price, as the airlines will be making the most of it closer to departure dates.

surrey is long weekend over easter, then finishing 4 april & returning 21 april.
