Explain Ds1 sats results to me please

Just been to parents afternoon and got ds1 school report which is very good, but I'm a little confused over his sats results, he got

2A Reading
2A Writing
3C Maths

Can anyone explain these to me.

Hi wurly 2b is national average so your ds is doing very well 3 means yr 3 work level
