6 year old writing bottom to top

Good morning all

My 6 year old writes things from bottom to top, so for example he would write:

Son
From
Mum
To

Instead of

To
Mum
From
Son

Every time I explain to him we write left to right, or top to bottom, and he tries it again and gets it correct. But the next time he writes, he’s doing it all bottom to top again

Been having a google around but all I can find is writing individual letters bottom to top, which is not something he does

My DS used to do that but he stopped before he was 6 because his Year 1 teacher was very strict with them about their handwriting. I just put it down to one of his many idiosyncracies. He is, however, left-handed so that may have been why.

My son does this too - he is growing out of it now but slips back to doing it on occasion. He's is 5 and like the last posters son he is also left handed.
