Devon independent schools - blundells / west buckland

We are moving to Devon either later this ear or early next year for DHs work and are starting to think about schools. We are considering blundells and west buckland. Does anyone have any experience of these schools? Our children will be 10 and 8 when we move. Thanks!

We moved to Devon two years ago. Both our children go to Blundells. They love it! One is in senior school and the other in primary. The school offers a well broad rounded education. No school is perfect. We are unfortunately having to move back to bucks and only thing making our decision this hard is the school. We wish we would find a school that we feel as comfortable as Blundells.
The pastoral support is excellent. Academically is not a ‘hit house’ but they strive high Children from prep school do not take an admissions test into senior school
Lots of sports and lots of activities for non sporty children.
You can buy our house if you want Smile just 4 miles away!

I don't know West Buckland I'm afraid, but have heard nothing but good things about Blundells. A friend of mine did an inspection for the GSG, and she was very impressed.

A colleague’s children have been at West Buck since prep, they are very happy with it.
