Not sure as can add much but know a little about the school. I considered to for my DD and have been to games fixtures. I also know a couple of people who have DC there. My impressions are that it’s a lovely school in a lovely setting. It doesn’t claim to be a highly academic hot house and has a reputation for being nurturing for those who wouldn’t cope in that type of environment especially as it’s a relatively small school. There are some local day pupils and lots of international boarders especially as you go higher up the school. It’s strong at rugby and I think attracts strong players in with scholarships. But because it is small school, other sports struggle more. For example, we have been to a few mixed hockey games when the other team is all boys. I am not sure if that is because they want to field the strongest players or because they can’t get enough boys.

We liked the school but didn’t send my DD as she felt she needed somewhere larger as there wasn’t as much extra curricular compared to the school she chose.

I am it sure if you are only looking at Malvern but in the general area I would also look at Bromsgrove - similar ethos but larger and also a mix of day and boarders. Shrewsbury is the other boarding school in the area but ai don’t know much about it. A similar size school again with the same ethos but a hockey and football (no rugby) school is Repton.
