Prep schools that feed into Sevenoaks School

Dear all,

I want to find out which school in Sevenoaks area has the highest percentage of getting their pupils into Sevenoaks School at 11+?

I have heard that New Beacon is the most academic one but goes on till 13+ and does not prepare well enough for 11+.

I would appreciate your views and opinions.

No first hand knowledge as I'm not in the Prep school world, but I'm told by friends that Sevenoaks Prep and the Granville send a lot of kids to Sevenoaks school.

Also, this might sound blasé, but I don't necessarily think that the choice of prep school is the be-all and end-all. Because of the Kent grammar system, I don't think competition for Sevenoaks is as crazy as for eg the London schools - the grammars are the first choice for lots of parents. If your child is a good fit for Sevenoaks (ie very bright and academically motivated) then I would think they would have a good chance of getting a place regardless of their primary/prep.
